What are the key themes explored in Fraggle Rock?
I know there is a subtext or two in there somewhere, it isn’t simply about small colourful monsters that live underground. I just can’t figure it out. It may be political (I think the Doozers make this quite clear) or it may be about awakening sexuality (think the Gorgs). I can’t help but feel that the relationship between the lighthouse keeper and his unruly mutt represents something altogether more significant.
What do you think?
The doozers display work ethic, The fraggles interpersonal relationships between differing types (and in the case of boober inner conflict displayed by split personality) And the gorgs regularly deal with daddy issues.
