Where do I draw the line with kids and adults play rough house?
A grown-up family member plays with my 5 year old son rough house sometimes. This family member is the naughtiest of all. He plays fights and wrestles. But the other day he farted on my son’s face (I put a stop on that). Yesterday he pulled my son’s underwear and I told him that is between kids only. He said that’s how kids play and he is one of them. What do you think?
Oh dear, oh dear! What a horrible man. I would pull him aside for some serious discussion about his inappropriate and offensive behavior! I imagine that since he is a family member you will be unable to restrict his access to your son much but as your son’s mother you have every right to be appalled and to express your anger at this so-called “man”. Who does he think he is for Heaven’s sake? It’s not funny at all.
